Summer Internship Programme 2019

The Speech, Language and Reading Lab is recruiting talented undergraduate students to (1) work with the Lab director and her research team on conducting language- and reading-related assessment and intervention experiments with typically developing children with special education needs, such as developmental dyslexia and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder; and (2) to engage in task development and in learning data coding and other preliminary data analysis skills for communication science. Successful applicants will receive on-board training(s) from our lab’s experts on conducing language assessments, intervention experiments and data analysis. Duties will be assigned according to your talents and interests which the ultimate goal is to enhance your practical communication skills, clinical skills and research technique through this summer internship opportunity. 

Requirement:
– Speak fluent Cantonese and English
– Major in Speech and Hearing Sciences/ Psychology/ Linguistics/ Education or related disciplines
– Have experience working with infants/ children
– Interested in conducting academic research on language & communication sciences
– Commit to at least 4 days of work per week (June – August 2019)
